Robert Boscacci and Cameron Fleming, the principals and owners of HME Mobility and Accessibility Ltd. (HME), are pleased to announce the expansion of their business to a new location in downtown Victoria.
In 2013, Fleming and Boscacci were named by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce as recipients of the Business Excellence Award for Young Entrepreneurs.
HME’s new full-service operation is located at 2521 Government Street in Victoria, and intended to serve clients living on Vancouver Island and the southern Gulf Islands.
“We are exceptionally proud to open our company’s second store in the Province’s capital,” said Fleming. “The Greater Victoria economy is dynamic and fast-growing, and our research shows tremendous potential across the entire Island.”
Boscacci observed that Vancouver Island’s population was approaching one million.
“The latest statistics show that Vancouver Island has added 171,000 people in the last 25 years,” he said. “It is our belief that population and economic growth will continue in the region in the foreseeable future, and we want HME to be in the forefront of addressing residents’ medical and health-care needs.”
Formerly known as Healthlinc Medical Equipment Ltd., HME specializes in Rehabilitation, Mobility and Accessibility Products, and is western Canada’s largest dealer for Bruno Stairlifts.
HME also is a proud ‘Provincial Provider’ for the B.C.-Yukon ALS Society, and offers short-term equipment loans to families through Vancouver Coastal loan programs.
The company now more than 30 employees, working in both Richmond and Victoria
