December 11, 2025 (Richmond, B.C.) – HME is pleased to announce the launch of its new Basic Rental Program (BRP) at a new 8,000 square foot facility in Richmond. With this addition, HME’s three Richmond facilities now total over 35,000 square feet of warehouse and operational space.
The BRP marks a significant investment in expanding access to essential mobility and medical equipment rentals across the Lower Mainland, strengthening HME’s position as Canada’s largest medical equipment rental provider.
“Private rentals are a fast-growing service area, and the need is strong throughout the Lower Mainland,” said Robert Boscacci, CEO & Co-Founder. “BRP allows us to serve this growing market while supporting faster hospital discharges—often same day or next business day.”
“With over $10 million in inventory, HME is proud to be the largest rental provider in Canada,” said Michelle Harvey, COO. “The launch of our new BRP centre also introduces HME’s new e-commerce rental platform, enabling therapists and families to order and schedule equipment online in real time—no calls required. This is a first in Canada, and we’re proud to have invested in bringing this innovation to market.” Cameron Fleming, CIO & Co-Founder, added: “By utilizing our integrated software platform, we can process, build, and deliver orders on the same day they’re placed—an unprecedented level of service in our industry.”
“HME’s new BRP facility utilizes the latest infection control standards and features class-leading cleaning and automation technology,” said Kendra McDougall, Director of Operations. “With the addition of five warehouse robots assisting our team, BRP ensures both the highest efficiency and the highest standard of patient safety.”
Starting from a single operation in B.C.’s Lower Mainland a decade ago, HME has expanded its client service coverage across the province in recent years. HME now has 11 locations and over 90,000 sq ft. of office and warehouse space in Richmond, Victoria, Surrey, Nanaimo, North Vancouver, Kelowna, Sechelt, Abbotsford, and Kamloops.
