HME Highlights Women in Leadership and Commitment to Equity and Inclusion

March 3, 2026 (Richmond, B.C.) – HME Medical Distribution Ltd. (“HME”) is proud to highlight its ongoing commitment to women in leadership, pay equity, and inclusive workplace practices across the organization. Since its founding in 2012, HME has intentionally built a leadership team that reflects diversity of experience, perspective, and gender, recognizing that inclusive leadership is a key driver of long-term success. HME is honored to work with Motion and NSM to make this event a success.
Women currently represent a significant portion of HME’s senior leadership team and play critical roles across operations, clinical leadership, compliance, finance, and corporate services.
“To further reinforce this commitment, HME hosted a Women in Leadership event on March 2, bringing together leaders from across the organization to celebrate achievements, share insights, and foster mentorship and collaboration within the healthcare and medical equipment sector,” said Michelle Harvey, COO of HME.
“Since starting HME in 2012, we have always believed in building a strong leadership team with women as a core part of that foundation,” said Robert Boscacci, Co-Founder and CEO of HME. “Diversity and inclusion are not just values for us—they make our company stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to serve our clients and communities.”
Furthermore, women hold a meaningful percentage of leadership equity within the organization, reflecting HME’s commitment to ensuring representation not only in titles, but also in ownership and influence.
Cameron Fleming, Co-Founder and CIO of HME, added, “The medical equipment industry has traditionally been male-dominated, but we have been intentional about shifting that dynamic. Ensuring female representation at senior levels brings better decision-making, stronger governance, and a culture where talent can thrive.”
HME maintains a strong pay-equity framework, with compensation practices grounded in role accountability, experience, and performance rather than gender. The company regularly reviews compensation structures to ensure fairness, transparency, and alignment with industry best practices.
Starting from a single operation in B.C.’s Lower Mainland a decade ago, HME has expanded its client service coverage across the province in recent years. HME now has 11 locations and over 90,000 sq ft. of office and warehouse space in Richmond, Victoria, Surrey, Nanaimo, North Vancouver, Kelowna, Sechelt, Abbotsford, and Kamloops. The company’s workforce is comprised of over 140 highly-trained professionals, technicians, and support staff. HME is B.C.’s leading medical equipment distribution and supply company, offering a vast array of mobility and accessibility devices and medical equipment. Items include wheelchairs, power chairs, walkers, hospital beds, mattresses, other durable medical equipment, stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ramps, and other installed products.
