February 27, 2025 (RICHMOND, B.C.) – On February 26, 2025, HME held its Annual Pediatrics Day at their Richmond Corporate Office. The successful event brought together Pediatric therapists from across British Columbia – in-person and via live stream – with Pediatric equipment manufacturers and representatives from key Pediatric funding sources.
“The Pediatric equipment space is an ever-evolving landscape with new technology and best practices constantly being updated,” said Robert Boscacci, CEO and Co-Founder. “From our first Pediatrics Day in 2023 to our event this year, we’ve seen how valuable these training events are for clinicians.”
Boscacci continued, “Led by HME’s team of 15 Pediatric specialists, the day focuses on bringing together key stakeholders to discuss funding, product development, and first-hand product training and see demonstrations.”
“HME is B.C.’s largest Pediatric equipment provider, and we are honored to have so many clinicians from all areas of the province join us for an excellent day of learning, networking, and fun,” said Cameron Fleming, CIO and Co-Founder. “HME looks forward to continuing this vital event annually to keep moving the Pediatric equipment space forward.”
Michelle Harvey, HME’s COO, noted, “This year, we were thrilled to bring top Pediatric equipment manufacturers, such as LIW, Physipro, and Motion Concepts, together in one place at our Corporate Training space to offer clinicians an opportunity to learn more about product developments and have hands-on time with the equipment. They were key to the success of the event.”
“Additionally, this year we also arranged to have representatives from key Pediatric funders on site and presenting,” Harvey continued. “Providing clinicians with funding updates and ways to streamline approval processes ensures that children across B.C. can get timely access to the equipment that they need.”
Starting from a single operation in B.C.’s Lower Mainland a decade ago, HME has expanded aggressively across the province in recent years and has nine locations and over 85,000 sq ft. of office and warehouse in Richmond, Victoria, Surrey, Nanaimo, North Vancouver, Kelowna, Sechelt, and soon to open Abbotsford.
The company’s workforce is comprised of over 130 highly-trained professionals, technicians, and support staff.
HME offers a vast array of mobility and accessibility devices and medical equipment. Items include wheelchairs, power chairs, walkers, hospital beds, mattresses, other durable medical equipment, stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ramps, and other installed products.
