January 15, 2025 (RICHMOND, B.C.) – HME Home Health is thrilled to announce the launch of their twelfth and thirteenth Signature Series Products, the HME Signature Series Gel-E-Fish Cushion and the HME Signature Series Non-Slip Cushion Cover.
“HME is committed to bringing unique, high-quality products to the market,” said Robert Boscacci, CEO and Co-Founder. “From our first cushion launch with the HME Signature Series Bumblebee and our subsequent HME Signature Series NS2 and GD2 Cushions, HME has seen exceptional growth of our Signature Series Seating, which now accounts for over 45% of all seating sold at HME locations.”
Boscacci continued, “Key to our Signature Series line is responding to market needs. In 2023, we conducted several market surveys, and overwhelmingly, we heard that there was a lack of an affordable gel cushion, so our clinical team set to work to research and develop a product to fill this need.”
“The HME Signature Series Gel-E-Fish Cushion took over 12 months to develop. During our development stage, we also saw a need for a non-slip cover that could be used with a variety of off-the-shelf seating, so our team developed the HME Signature Series Non-Slip Cover, a versatile solution to help with client sliding,” said Cameron Fleming, CIO and Co-Founder.
Michelle Harvey, HME’s COO, noted, “Gel seating is an important option for many clients who require rehab seating, and our Signature Series Gel-E-Fish cushion meets the clinical needs of these clients.”
“Additionally, the Gel-E-Fish Cushion and Non-Slip Cover are competitively priced to meet the funding needs of our provincial partners and private clients,” Harvey continued. “Both the Gel-E-Fish Cushion and the Non-Slip cover are available at the 9 HME locations across B.C. and can be directly ordered to locations in B.C. and Alberta via our HME E-Store.”
Starting from a single operation in B.C.’s Lower Mainland a decade ago, HME has expanded aggressively across the province in recent years and has nine locations and over 85,000 sq ft. of office and warehouse in Richmond, Victoria, Surrey, Nanaimo, North Vancouver, Kelowna, Sechelt, and soon to open Abbotsford.
The company’s workforce is comprised of over 130 highly-trained professionals, technicians, and support staff.
HME Home Health offers a vast array of mobility and accessibility devices and medical equipment. Items include wheelchairs, power chairs, walkers, hospital beds, mattresses, other durable medical equipment, stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ramps, and other installed products.
