Earlier this year, Steven Banh, one of our Vancouver Island Sales Team Members had the pleasure of working with the amazing team at the Central Island Veterinary Emergency Hospital where he met Finn, the Great Wolfhound!
The hospital’s owner, Suzanne informed Steven that since Finn’s surgery he was unable to walk for five days and needed to be placed in a rehab program at the facility. As an expert on all things lifts and slings, Steven had the brilliant idea of implementing a floor lift and sling to aid in Finn’s rehab. Suzanne was concerned that Finn would feel uneasy being lifted in a sling since he was never in one before and may feel extremely sensitive post-surgery. Fortunately, with some gentle coaching and encouragement from Steven, Finn was calmly fitted into the sling and lifted! For the first time in almost a week, Finn was standing on all fours!
By using the lift and sling, Suzanne believes that Finn was able to rehabilitate a lot easier and was standing on his own two weeks later! Today, Finn can run around and play with all his other dog friends!
It’s not every day we work with non-human clients, but Steven did a fantastic job doing so!
