HME is happy to welcome the MS Society to our Equipment Management Program. We are now the exclusive equipment manager for the MS Society’s loan program, and will be responsible for coordinating all deliveries, pick ups, servicing and cleaning of the equipment in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island. For clients outside of our service area, similar to our other Equipment Loan Programs, such as the ALS Society, we will work with a network of highly qualified service providers in those regions to complete the deliveries to the client’s home.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system that affects approximately 100,000 Canadians, the highest in the world. Symptoms for MS include but not limited to extreme fatigue, tingling, weakness and lack of coordination. MS is unpredictable with no cure as of this time.
MS Society is continuously working towards helping MS clients by providing the needed care and equipment, raising awareness and fundraising for the research to find a cure.
