February 28, 2024 (RICHMOND, B.C.) – HME Home Health is thrilled to announce the launch of its newly re-designed website (www.hmebc.com) with an integrated HME E-Store. The brand-new addition of the e-commerce platform, the HME E-Store, provides customers with the convenience of online shopping and order fulfillment.
Robert Boscacci, HME CEO and Co-Founder, said, “We are excited to launch our completely over-hauled and redone website and believe it will set the industry standard in Canada for home medical equipment dealers.”
“HME’s last significant website upgrade was in 2020, so the time was right for innovation and offerings for our valued customers,” Boscacci continued. “Our new website, including the HME E-store, allows for e-commerce purchasing and is one of the first in Canada.”
Michelle Harvey, COO, said, “E-commerce is a major part of nearly every industry; however, in Canada, the home medical equipment space has lagged behind.”
“HME wants to be at the forefront of the industry, and our new HME E-Store and website features – such as enhanced search capability will capitalize on this historical, technological gap in our industry,” Harvey added. “HME’s innovation continues to set us apart from our competition.”
Cameron Fleming, CIIO and Co-Founder, noted, “HME E-Store is fully integrated into our custom CRM System, meaning that when customers purchase a product online, that order can be processed and filled within 24 hours.”
Fleming continued, “The website re-design, with the integration of the HME E-Store, was a large investment that we’ve made in our company and took over a year to complete; we know that e-commerce is the only going to become more important in the coming years and we will look to expand our product offerings in the HME E-Store.”
Finally, Boscacci noted that continued expansion and focus on e-commerce would be a significant pillar of HME’s future growth.
Starting from a single operation in B.C.’s Lower Mainland a decade ago, HME has expanded aggressively across the province in recent years and today has seven locations and over 75,000 sq ft. of office and warehouse in Richmond, Victoria, Surrey, Nanaimo, North Vancouver, and Kelowna.
The company’s workforce is comprised of over 120 highly-trained professionals, technicians, and support staff.
HME Home Health offers a vast array of mobility and accessibility devices and medical equipment. Items include wheelchairs, power chairs, walkers, hospital beds, mattresses, other durable medical equipment, stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ramps, and other installed products.
