February 5, 2025 (RICHMOND, B.C.) – HME supports the B.C. Government’s commitment to ‘Buying Canadian’ in the face of American-initiated tariffs.
On February 1, 2025, Premier David Eby announced his directive to B.C. Crown Corporations, Health Authorities, and other government agencies to source and purchase from Canadian suppliers.
“As a 100% Canadian – and B.C. – owned and operated company, HME has led the way over the past 3 years with moving our product sourcing to Canadian companies,” said Robert Boscacci, CEO and Co-Founder of HME. “We’ve shifted our supply chain to support fellow Canadian companies, such as EMP, Evergreen, Physipro, Motion Composites, and Raz, to name a few – all of which are also 100% Canadian-owned companies.”
“By moving to Canadian procurement of our supply chain, we are supporting the Canadian economy, and with the new tariffs, HME’s approach, more than ever, is needed to support Canadian suppliers,” Boscacci continued.

To make it easy for consumers, we’ve identified our Canadian products on our website with a Canadian flag emblem.”
